We tried this restaurant on a whim and am so happy we did! My husband had the white burrito and I had the Vienna white quesadilla. DELICIOUS! Easy to get a table on a Saturday night. Prices are reasonable and the food is delicious and generous on portions. Will definitely come here again!

We eat La Hac, La Parilla and Casa Vieja all the time... Casa Vieja is our favorite. The Vieja Quesadilla is amazing.

I got the fried ice cream. I asked the person at the counter whether it was actually deep fried. She assured me yes and that it is delicious! It was "deep fried then coated in chocolate and whip cream!" I received it only to see that it was ice cream rolled in corn flakes... what the hell...

Good food, fair prices! Service is fast, so if you are not in a hurry and want to sit and enjoy your drink tell them and don't order till you are ready. Very accommodating to adjust menu items and leave off something yo don't like or add something you do like! Salsa is a little mild for my taste so I get them to bring me a bowl of jalapenos for me! Good fish taco's, but ask for them to be grilled, they come fried!

Went to this restaurant this week. Right around the corner from our house. Loved it! Nice atmosphere, good energy as all patrons seemed to be having a nice time. Server was fast and the food was served fast and very good. This will be our new casual date night place. Will come back again.

We had been here once before for dinner, over a year ago... I definitely like their salsa, and the chips were very good too. This time I ordered two tacos, a la carte: a chicken taco which was great, and a beef taco, that was okay. My husband chose the Carne Asada, and I really preferred my tacos. The bean dip was basically refried beans covered in so much cheese that it was a queso dip. The margarita comes premixed and is very very sweet, (sampled my husbands, and probably wouldn't order one there unless they were making them fresh/ with less simple syrup/ or added a skinny margarita to the menu.) I'm sure we'll go back, I'm going to have to check out their burritos sometime.

The chicken tamales are authentic and wonderfully spicy. Highly recommend the fresh chalupas.

This is a neighborhood favorite, and I can see why. They make really good margaritas. They stay open late. And it's totally comfort food. I had the Burrito Blanco, a really nice exercise in simplicity, made with steak, sauteed mushrooms, onions, and smothered in cheese. Good stuff. My friend had the vieja quesadilla (grilled chicken, sautéed onions, bell peppers, spinach, and other good things). Service was fast and friendly. Neighborhood regulars seem to become part of the family, too. I'll happily go back. Holler if you're coming with.

We went here for lunch and were regulars. We got fajitas for one and they gave us flour tortillas. My wife asked for corn and they gave them Us. After we got our bill, they came back and said we had to up charge for the tortillas. They wrote the additional charge in pen on the bill. So we took off $1.25 from her tip. While we left our waitress gave us a dirty look and didn't say goodbye.

Try the fish tacos, they rock! order the cheese dip with chopped jalapenos too. The mango margarita is to DIE for, real mango puree. So amazing.

As Mexican goes, this place is a step up on your typical joint. It's a small quaint spot that some uniqueness about it. I've never really had a long wait, if any. The prices are VERY reasonable and the food is out even before you order it. It's really that fast!!! I judge Mexican based on the salsa - and they have some of the best in town. Not all things are fantastic - but the nachos and chimi are good. Fajitas and burritos are also very good. Service is good and they are courteous and friendly. Sometimes can forget items when very busy. Overall, the best Mexican in PTC or Fayetteville.

As stated in the previous review, this place is fast, good, and cheap. Quite the trifecta for a restaurant. Lately they have been really out doing themselves with their prices and offering a get one combo get the second half off! I took my brother there a couple of weeks ago and it was 13 for the both of us. Highly recommend it if you want fast Mexican food but it gives you the luxury of sitting down like a regular restaurant.

Casa Vieja is a good place to get a quick fix of Mexican food in PTC. I end up eating here a lot because it's: 1. Close to my house 2. Relatively good 3. Fast 4. Cheap. That may not sound like the most exciting review, but those things taken together keep me coming back. It's also family owned and they're great people which shows in the service. You could do a lot worse!

Always reliable and inexpensive. Great little restaurant and we eat there 4-6 times a month just because it's easy, fast and clean. The waitresses have been there for years and it's family run. They'll accomodate children and substitute menu items.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
